Persephone Books, from a marvelous publisher in London, are rediscovered 20th century novels written by neglected women authors. Not only are they wonderful reading, each one is published with a distinctive dove-gray cover and a beautiful "fabric" endpaper (see above). You also get a matching bookmark.

If that name is familiar, it should be. Burnett is the author of one of my favorite books as a child, The Secret Garden. But she also wrote adult novels. The Shuttle, 504 pages long and first published exactly 100 years ago, is about...

Des is moderating our panel, one of the last of the two-day conference. Joining us will be Jason Ge, National Sales, GM Sina.

That's what has happened to me lately. I've been busy with clients, traveling for work, traveling a bit for pleasure and just generally... busy in my First (non-virtual) Life.

Although I must admit that I did set up a Facebook page recently. I'm easily addicted to fun stuff and that took up quite a bit of time for several days. At first, my 20-something daughter was absolutely horrified. Apologies, that links to a registration page.
