Try Zuula for blog search

Posted in the Category of Stuff

I almost never comply when someone asks me to recommend their product/service. But this one is cool. Boris Simkovich, CEO of ZuulaCorp, emailed out of the blue to tell me about Zuula, his new search engine with a dedicated "blog" tab. Zuula also searches the Web, images, news and jobs.

It returns results from nine different blog search engines, including Technorati, IceRocket, Feedster, Blogpulse, Sphere, Bloglines, Blogdigger and Topix.

Lifehacker recommends it.

Clickz_logo Like so many others, I've long struggled with an overflowing email inbox. And a love/hate relationship with email. I wrote a column for ClickZ on Email Addiction over six years ago. It got more response from readers (from all over the world) than anything else I wrote for them.

I missed VC and well-known blogger Fred Wilson's declaration of Email Bankruptcy on April 23, 2007. (VC Jeff Nolan filed for email bankruptcy the next day.) Mike Musgrove writes about Fred on the front page of today's Washington Post: E-Mail Reply to All: 'Leave Me Alone.'

I've been talking about this very phenomenon for a while now. Today there's an article by media columnist Howard Kurtz in The Washington Post titled: Don't Quote Me.

The point he makes is that executives often prefer to do an interview with a reporter by email these days. That's because the exec can post the *full* version of the exchange on her blog if the reporter edits or truncates the interview in a way she doesn't like.

Karen_debbie_2 Had a wonderful lunch in Washington DC last week with Karen Christensen of Berkshire blog fame. Karen is CEO of Great Barrington, MA - based publishing company Berkshire Publishing Group. Recently she's been spending weeks at a time in China.

Notice her Beijing Olympics Pin affixed to her lapel. It's a collector's item which she picked up on a recent trip!
