Danwei_101807DATELINE: Beijing (Oct. 18, 2007): There is a small group of expats who speak fluent Mandarin and are extremely knowledgeable about social media, Web 2.0, etc. in China. Three of the best are Sam Flemming, Jeremy Goldkorn and William Moss. Here are their blog/sites, along with some other great resources.

You have to know about these in order to get to sites like Technorati.com, which is blocked in China.

Why do you post things like a proxy for public use, attached to the source? This is one of the surest and easiest ways for this sort of thing to _no_longer_be_usable!

I guess knowledge is also a sort of power, and with it, responsibility?

Goldkorn does not speak fluent Mandarin.  He cannot read Chinese, either—which is why he employs Chinese staff to do that.

You seemed to have been fooled by him but not to worry—he implies many things about himself which some in the media have fallen for.  His site is all about self-promotion and advertising, and links from others.
