Well, after the mammoth declutter of our house, where we've lived for 20 years, we put it on the market and were lucky enough to sell in less than 48 hours. So we're buying a new place. Meantime I'm awash in addendums (addendi - ?) and other offline details. Back soon...

P.S. If you're thinking of selling your house, decluttering really works. Our house looked twice as big! (Great before & after photos in Decluttering to Make the Sale from HGTV.)

Congratulations on your quick sale!  Was this recent?  I am collecting quirky little tidbits to indicate the bottom of the market has come and gone…  I think you’re totally right about de-cluttering for the sale, buyers don’t want YOUR home, they want THIER home!  That’s hard to see with your stuff there!

In addition to de-cluttering, selecting the right REALTOR to list your home and ‘right pricing’ play a big part in getting a quick sale.  There are too many sellers that insist their home is worth more than the market will bear . . .

Debbie congratulations! There’s nothing more powerful than having to move to make you realize just how much “stuff” you have! On to the next chapter for you!
