Sunset_july_2007 As author Gertrude Stein famously said, "There is no there there." (There, in this case, referring to Oakland, CA where she grew up.)

Well, I'm delighted to report that I'm on the coast of Maine and... there is no blogosphere here! Hardly any cell phone coverage either. Slow blogging for a while.

Ms. Weil,

I sent you an email but I thought I’d also send it here. I am eager to know where you are on the coast of Maine. I grew up there—on a small island called XXX with VERY spotty cell phone service. It sounds like you might be in that area. It’s a beautiful place ...

Anyway, here’s the question from my earlier email to you:
I am a writer for HealthLeaders magazine, a monthly publication for senior executives in healthcare. Each month I include factoids or statistics from a recent study or report and I would like to include one on CEO blogging in a coming issue. However, I have not been able to find any recent statistics about the number of CEOs/senior executives who have blogs. As an expert in this area, I thought you may have a number that I could cite. I am interested in the percentage of senior executives with blogs in general as well as specifically in healthcare.

I hope you can help. Many thanks—and enjoy your time in Vacationland.
