Clever... go here to see BlogPulse's review of the year. The folks at BlogPulse sent an email announcement with a link to their year-in-review page:

"BlogPulse 2004 contains something for everyone - politics, news, social trends, international topics, silly stuff and intriguing finds. The Year in Review neatly captures the major themes, ideas, people and events that bloggers were discussing and writing about in 2004."

"Some highlights: Bush was the most-cited personality, a singing llamas video was among the most forwarded "you gotta see this!" links, the transcript of Stewart's pointed pre-election appearance on CNN's "Crossfire" was the most-cited news story, and Boing Boing was the most-cited blog."

This is clever marketing. And proof that email is not dead yet. My advice for 2005? Combine blogs & RSS with your email marketing efforts. You'll be ahead of the crowd and you'll see some surprising results.
