Simon obviously uses much classier equipment than my idiot-proof Flip video recorder - which I love except for how long it takes to upload the videos to YouTube. If you're thinking of buying one, BTW, be sure to get the new ultra Flip which is flatter and plugs into your laptop less awkwardly.

Here's a quiet moment with BlogWorld Expo impresario and friend Dave Taylor, who was responsible for corralling the close to 200 (? is that right?) speakers to, er, get to the conference venue in the cavernous Las Vegas Convention Center and behave when they got there. He sent a stream of helpful emails before we all converged in Las Vegas.

Here it's pre-conference day, Wednesday Nov. 7, 2007, when things were a little quieter.

Interviewed new celeb author Timothy Ferriss (The 4-Hour Workweek) after he delivered his keynote at The New New Internet in Reston, VA last week. This guy is no slacker even though he's figured out how to outsource just about everything, including looking for a girlfriend.   

Tim comes across as super serious in this video. Too bad because moments later he took off his jacket, looked much more relaxed and started chatting up some geeks while eating his delayed lunch.

Nni_150x173 The New New Internet held here in Reston, VA last week was a provocative day with some great speakers [one quibble: not enough women] including Tim Ferriss of 4-Hour Workweek fame. I meant to get up several of the interviews I did before the weekend (including one with Tim). But life (and trouble uploading to YouTube) intervened. Here's :60 seconds with VC Brad Feld, a likable, rumpled and forthright personality who was on one of the panels. I've followed his blog off and on for quite a while and I like the way he thinks.
